Cheater Tomatoes

- Tumbling Tom - cherry tomatoes produced in profusion on tiny, sprawling plants. Available in hanging baskets and 4 inch pots.
- Green Grape - Cherry tomato; green, blushed with yellow when ripe. Our kids’ all time favorite tomato.

- Brandywine - Sold Out! - the grand-daddy of heirloom tomatoes. Very large, very late, very good!
- Bella Rosa - Expect high yields of large, 10 to 12 oz. delicious tomatoes with bright red flesh. Disease resistant.
- Chapman's Beefsteak - Absolutely the biggest beefsteak tomato! Bred and raised here in Turner, Maine!
- Black From Tula - Sold Out! - not really black, just very dark red. Mid-season. Mild, rich flavor makes this a favorite tomato for sandwiches.
- Rose de Berne - nicely-shaped 4-to 8-oz fruit are a rose-pink color, and have an excellent sweet flavor that has made it a hit with many gardeners. New this year and recommended by a very reliable friend! (Thanks, Susan!)
- Ruby Gold - 1 lb. mostly red fruit with gold striping/mottling inside. Good yields. Sweet flavor.
- Reif Red Heart - large, heart-shaped fruit have very few seeds, making them a great choice for sauce - or for anyone who has trouble digesting seeds.
Main Crop Tomatoes
Traditional tomatoes planted in 6 packs. Your most economical choice. 2.49 each.

- Sweet Olive - A very productive - and yummy! - grape tomato.
- Jet Star - the only hybrid tomato we'll give garden space! Mid-season, reasonable flavor and a great producer.

- Brandywine - the grand-daddy of heirloom tomatoes. Very large, very late, very good!
- Bellstar - planning to make sauce from your tomatoes? This one's for you! Much like Roma tomatoes, but much larger - which means much less time spent peeling!
Sweet Peppers:
Sold in 6 packs; 2.49 each.
- Revolution - Sold Out! - Wonderful bell pepper with terrific yield. Thick walls make for a sweet pepper!
- Lipstick - Heart shaped, rather than the traditional bell. Fabulous flavor and these will ripen to red easily in our climate!!
- Golden Calwonder - a large blocky bell pepper that ripens a nice gold color.
Hot Peppers:
Sold in 6 packs; 2.49 each.
- Joe. E. Parker - 6 to 7-inch thick-fleshed peppers turn from green to red and are relatively mild to medium in flavor. Ripens earlier than most other peppers of its type. 65 days.
- Hungarian Hot Wax - Medium-hot peppers, especially good for pickling. Canary yellow, then bright red at full maturity. 6 to 8 inches long and 2 inches across. Plants are 20 to 24 inches tall. 70 days.
- Jalapeno - Sold Out! - Fiery, thick-walled peppers grow 3 in. long and 1-1/2 inches wide, with rounded tips. Dark green at first, then turning red. Good for fresh use or pickling; famous for nachos and other Tex-Mex dishes.
- Thai Hot - tiny plant produces tiny, deadly hot peppers. Find these in 4 inch pots in the Herb House. 3.49 each.
Brassicas (the broccoli family):
- Acadia Broccoli
- Brussel Sprouts - Let your brussel sprouts get hit by frost a couple of times before harvesting them. You won't believe the difference!
- Cabbage - early, midseason and late types, plus flats of mixed maturity. A very limited amount of red cabbage is also available.
Cucumbers:
- General Lee - Sold Out! - long, thin and oh, so crisp!
- National Pickling - Sold Out! - small, crisp cukes, great for pickling or salads.
Squash:
- Buttercup - Sold Out! - the sweetest and driest of squash. Heaven!
- Sunshine - Sold Out! - orange skin makes this easy to find in the garden - and the flavor might just be as good as Buttercup.
Pumpkins:
- Howden - Sold Out! - large pumpkins with dark orange skin - perfect for Jack O' Lanterns.
- We have a nice selection of mini-pumpkins in several colors, as well as a variety of gourds. Sold Out!
Greens:
- Mixed lettuce - Sold Out! - we use dozens of varieties of lettuce in our mix, giving you many colors, flavors and types.
- Bright Lights Swiss Chard - Chard is one of the few greens that produce all summer long. Want a no-fail vegetable in your garden? Try some!
