From Here to There:
Packing Your Clematis

We remove the plants from their pots and wrap the root ball in waxed kraft paper.

The plant tops are staked to keep them from flopping around.

The paper is taped securely at the top to keep soil from spilling.
This clematis is dormant and was used for illustration only.

Cardboard strips taped to the plant hold it in place in the box.

Two plants fit snuggly in a Priority Mail box.
